Adoption - Urgent Rescue from ISIS

Pastor John recently visited an area of the Philippines where 83% of the children are living in poverty and are malnourished. Despite their circumstances, the children desire to go to school with others. Ting Ministries is thankful that the school fees for our current children has been provided for! However, the need is growing as our Ting Ministries team goes and visits more needy children. Please consider becoming a sponsor.

Sponsors will do more then help children go to school. With more support, Pastor John can take in more children. He has been asked by leaders to bring more children into his home - before ISIS brainwashes them! The need is real and urgent for these innocent lives. Praise for Bangladesh: A Big Announcement!

Recently, Ting Ministries was blessed with a donation from generous friends, whom we met through Christian Alliance for Orphans. Thanks to their gift and support of Ting Ministries, we have a very big announcement to share with you!

We have enough funds to: build the children's home, support the Pastors' families for a year, and buy a motorbike! We are so grateful for your support, and thought you might like to hear Pastor James's thanks as well:

Can You Take Them: A Ting House and Indigenous Children

Pastor Mark tells us: "My wife and I are here in an indigenous tribe visiting the orphans and children. We are looking for more partners to sponsor children to schools. Please pray that God will doors of opportunities. These children are mostly illiterate and only 18% are going to formal studies. Most of then are living in mountainous and remote places."

Also, Pastor Mark took another trip to Marawi, where he was met by thirty orphaned children. Those in charge of the relief center asked him: Can you please take them? Pastor Mark's heart was broken. Friends, Pastor Mark would love to take these children back with him to Zamboanga so they could go to school and experience the love of a family. However, before this would be possible - we need a place for them to stay. We need your help to build a children's home, a Ting House, for children like these. Pastor Mark and his family would welcome them, but until we have an additional home in Zamboanga, these children have nowhere to go. Please pray for the Lord to provide the funds needed so we can carry out the mission of James 1:27: To care for the orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Emergency Update: We Need Tangible Help for the Philippines!

EMERGENCY: Okay friends! You may have seen our update yesterday from the Philippines, asking for help. Today, the situation has gotten worse. Our team is down in Marawi and they have run out of funds - and they still have 200-300 children to feed tomorrow. Trusting the Lord, they went down and were able to have several days of ministry, but unless people like our supporters begin to help in tangible ways, there is nothing they can do! Some people may call it foolish to go down having little else but faith, but what else can you do when you see suffering and the Lord commands us to "Go?" (James 1:27)

Ask yourself what you can give, even if it is 5 dollars it makes a big difference! If everyone who liked only our Facebook page gave ONLY 5 dollars we would have more than enough!

Urgent Need for Philippines: School Fees and Continued Marawi Relief

You may remember us sharing a need a couple months ago about school fees for Ting Ministries' children in the Philippines. Unfortunately, the need has not been met yet - and the children have started school already! They will not be able to stay in school if Pastor Mark cannot pay their fees. It is only 6 dollars a month for elementary school and 12 dollars for higher level education! Please consider if you can help these children, both former and current street kids, go to school - they are counting on you!

Also, Pastor Mark is heading back to Marawi to another evacuation center! In order to continue helping the displaced families and children, he needs our help to purchase supplies like clothing, food, and toys. 100% of Ting Ministries work depends on the faithfulness and generosity of our supporters! Wow! Pastor Mark and Team Hope had a wonderful day today. They have been traveling to evacuation centers and spending time with the children at each one. They bring supplies, play with the children, and share the love of Jesus! See Team Hope in Action!

Completed: Marawi Children's Relief: Emergency Update: Please Share!

UPDATE 7/26/17: Our goal for the Children's Relief is FULLY FUNDED! Thanks to everyone who gave, prayed, and shared. Stay tuned for more updates as Pastor Mark continues working in Marawi.

Below are just some of the pictures sent by Pastor Mark who wrote: "We are having a children's party for the traumatized children. This is not actually part of our agenda but when we talk to the children... they asked us if we can have a children's party for them so we prepared an instant children's party for them..."

Dear friends, very late last night we had an emergency need from Pastor Mark. He and the team were going down for children and youth relief in Marawi and were shocked to learn their preparations for 300 children were nowhere close to the 700 that awaited them. While they have started the relief already, they need 580 dollars to ensure all the children can recieve a meal, enew unnderwear, clothing, toys etc. Thank you to our one donor so far! There are some particularly wrenching stories Pastor Mark sent us, which will share throughout the day, as putting them all together would not do them justice.

Pastor Mark's Family was Robbed! Can You Help?

Dear Friends - Yesterday, Pastor Mark's family was robbed! Three laptops and a dvd player were stolen from the church. These laptops have ministry and other important information on them. Without these things, Pastor Mark cannot run ministry! 

To replace the stolen items, it will cost about 1,500 dollars. Can you help cover this need? Pastor Mark and his family would feel so blessed to know people care so deeply about his ministry they want to help! Please pray for their continued protection.

Below is a picture we got  today of the street boys Pastor Mark and his wife took in. Ting Ministries is helping them go to school! These kids are former Muslims who lived on the streets. Now they are going to school, learning job skills, and want to help in the ministry when they get older like Pastor Mark.

Hope for Marawi

Please take a few minutes of your time to watch this video that Pastor Mark put together about Zamboanga's "Hope for Marawi" team. You may remember that in May 2017, a massive ISIS attack was carried out in the Philippines. Pastor Mark and others traveled down to help the people of Marawi. 

Our partners in the Philippines organized an emergency relief program including food outreach and school bags for children displaced by the terrorism.

This was made possible by Ting Ministries' supporters who helped raise funds for a van.

Voices from Marawi: School Bags and Food for Displaced Children

Pastor Mark helped to hand out school bags and food to the first set of displaced children in Marawi. 500 dollars is still needed to send the children to school and for other necessities for the Marawi relief program.
