Freedom from Bondage: Annual Bangladesh Leadership Conference

Last week, our Christian brothers and sisters in Bangladesh held their Annual Leadership Conference. This year's theme was: Freedom from Bondage.

The five day conference was attended by leaders of the church, lay leaders, women ministry leaders and youth, with a total of 200 participants, from four different tribal people groups. So each activity and program were arranged each people group in their respective languages.

There were two worship services each day during the conference. Our Ting Ministries partners praise God for His guidance in ministry and the organization of the conference. They felt His blessing, fruitful from the beginning to the end.

During the conference, there were men and women ministry leaders committee meetings about how  to continue in the work the Lord has placed in their lives and how to become more fruitful in the ministry. There was training to the ministry leaders on different topics as they shared ministry reports from different areas of the country. Together, they encouraged one another, prayed for boldness,  and faithfulness for one another. There were times of fellowship and lots of fun, including: a Bible memory competition to emphasize the importance of staying in God's word, provide encouragement, and prepare others to share the Gospel. A Gospel song competition to grow interest in Music ministry. Bible quizzes were given throughout the conference to grow everyone's knowledge of the Bible. and fellowship meals.

The conference also emphasized Christian leadership among women in the church. Our partners say: "We have seen many women characters in the Bible how significant roles they have played. Their characters and roles have inspired, enlightened, and empowered many people in the Bible. Those characters still continue to teach us how to live authentic and God-touched lives." If women are given proper training, they too can play  a significant role in bringing light to the world and save many lost souls.

All the people greatly enjoyed the conference. They said the preaching and fellowship was a source of encouragement and blessing. The participants are excited and renewed to take what they learned from the conference and apply it to their respective fields.

Praise for Bangladesh: A Big Announcement!

Recently, Ting Ministries was blessed with a donation from generous friends, whom we met through Christian Alliance for Orphans. Thanks to their gift and support of Ting Ministries, we have a very big announcement to share with you!

We have enough funds to: build the children's home, support the Pastors' families for a year, and buy a motorbike! We are so grateful for your support, and thought you might like to hear Pastor James's thanks as well:

"Praise God! Praise God! Praise God! Hallelujah! God is good all the time, all the time God is so good! Thank you so much for good news! Our God is a living God and Almighty and faithful God. He answered our prayers in His perfect timing! To God be the glory! I really give to thanks to [the donor family] for donating everything to God. This is GREAT and AMAZING! God will bless them abundantly and we will be keeping on praying for them."

Christmas Soap and a Prayer Meeting in Bangladesh

In Bangladesh, our ministry partners and team had a blessed Christmas. Please continue to keep Pastor James and our partners in your prayers for 2018. Know they are also praying for you!

The church sings Christmas songs on Christmas Day to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

The children were so excited to receive a bar of soap for Christmas! That's right - a bar of soap. Even such small items and ways of helping are greatly appreciated by our partners! They are deeply blessed and encouraged to know that you, as a part of Ting Ministries, are helping and praying for them as they continue to share the Gospel. In the new year, may you consider being a sponsor or helping one of Ting Ministries' current projects.

In Bangladesh, our partners and those helped through the support of Ting Ministries held a mass prayer meeting for Ting Ministries, our family, our work around the world, the orphanage home we are building in Bangladesh and pastors support  for 2018.

We hope you will prayerfully consider how you may help our pastors, orphanages, and ministry in 2018. Our partners faithfully pray for the ministry and together, we - our board, our TM missionaries and those they help, alongside our faithful supporters - help make a difference for souls around the world.

Meet Rafi: "I have a dream to be a doctor....but my dream will never come true"

Meet Rafi! This young boy dreams of being a doctor one day, but because he has to help his family in the fields, he worries his dream to help others will never come true. Read his testimony from Bangladesh.

Testimony:
"My name is Rafi. I am 12 years old. I am the youngest child in the family. I have two brothers and two sisters. They all are already married. My father has a crops field (slash and burn cultivation). I spend my whole day in the crops field and help my father. I studied up to grade two before but since my father is very poor, he could not send me to school in the town, though he still wants me to study very much. I have a dream to be a doctor someday. But I can never be a doctor with spending the whole day in the harvest, and my dream will never come true. I am very sad that I could not continue my studies anymore. I think may be working in the harvest field and spending my whole life in the bush is my fate. I also love to play with my friends a lot. My favorite sport is Volleyball. But I do not have time to play . Since morning to evening, I have to help my parents. My parents love me very much.

I am a very lonely boy. Though I have some friends in the village, I could seldom spend time and play with my friends, because I always need to work. I believe in Jesus Christ. Jesus is God and my Savior. My parents are not yet believers. I came to know Jesus Christ through our pastor. I want to study more and want to learn more about Jesus. In the future I want to become a evangelist teacher so that I can teach and tell about Jesus to those who do not believe in Jesus."

In Case You Missed It - Recap of Our Night for Orphans with the Celtic Martins!

In case you missed it...

Ting Ministries Presents

The Celtic Martins & A Voice for Orphans

A big thank-you is extended to The Celtic Martins for coming to share their talents with Ting Ministries and the audience. Keep reading to see a short video of their performance!

Executive Director of Ting Ministries, Brian Carpenter, shared about God's Word and the orphan. Graduated from seminary with his Masters in counseling, Brian has a passion for fulfilling the calling of James 1:27 - the core verse of Ting Ministries. He believes that getting into the Word is the key to a transformed life in Christ and that is what allows us to care for the Least of These.

Hannah and Sasha smile for a selfie! Sasha spoke about issues of identity in adopted children and families and the healing Christ can bring to these questions. She also sang and closed the night with a dramatic prose performance of The Boy from Baby House 10. This is the story of a boy with Cerebral Palsy who was adopted from Russia, by John Lahutsky. Check out and follow her on her blog: www.natalyacarpenter.blogspot.com

Director Stephanie Carpenter with Hannah and Ellianna. Stephanie spoke about Ting Ministries' work in Bangladesh, the Philippines, Ukraine, Bulgaria and more. To learn about current needs and how you can help, please see Our Projects.  One of our top projects right now is to build an orphanage in Bangladesh. There are currently 30 village children who have nowhere to go and the cost to build a place where they can sleep, eat, and go to school is less than 5,000 dollars! Our partners have also asked for help to purchase a motorbike for safe travel, and pastor sponsorships.

Learn how you can help Ting Ministries's Christmas Child Gift Project. We need outfits, warm gloves and shoes! You can sign-up in the spreadsheet here.

Angelina and her friend Molly having fun!

Thank you to our friends in Bangladesh who shared their love for Ting Ministries halfway across the world!

Here's a short clip of the performance by The Celtic Martins. Enjoy!
Thank you again to all who came out in support and to learn more about Ting Ministries and the plight of the orphan. Thank you for everyone who helped in set-up, clean-up and providing desserts!

God Bless!

I Think They Are the Same: A Bangladesh Update and Orphanage Development

"But as we messengers of God, we did it as much as possible what God has given on us for duty and responsibilities to oversee His sheep. No matter it is rainy seasons, cold seasons or hot seasons, we must carry on our duty and responsibilities. I think that doctors and missionaries position are the same. And also we must to think about Jesus’ His life and how much His sacrificed for us!" Pastor James, TM Bangladesh Missionary

Dear friends - we have joyous news! Recently, Brian and Stephanie got the opportunity to speak with Pastor James in Bangladesh. It was a time of great encouragement in the Lord for all. We are excited to bring Pastor James to the US to speak with us in churches in Summer 2018.

Below are some pictures of the TM Bangladesh team on their latest travels to share the Gospel...

In July, we announced an important project with our Bangladesh missionaries and we need your help! We are building an orphanage for thirty children. These children live in remote villages and have no family that takes care of them. Pastor James and his team check on the children and bring a bit of food for them when they are travelling from village to village. This is only a temporary solution, however. They desperately need somewhere safe to stay, eat, and go to school. All of our work is dependent on the our faithful supporters who supply tangible resources our missionaries and partners. They are so blessed and encouraged to know there are people around the world who are praying for them and supporting them as they fulfill God's call to share the Good News.

TM Orphanage in Bangladesh (Read More Here)

The plan is for the orphanage to also be a school, so the children can live there and also get a proper education. Eventually, there will be monthly costs to run the orphanage/school (for teachers, cooks, medical care etc). However, the first thing that needs to be done is to build the structure of the orphanage. This includes building the house with bamboo and wood with a tin roof. It also includes furniture, bedding for the children, and kitchen supplies.

The total cost for all this is only 4,556 US Dollars!

If you would like to help us build an orphanage for these precious children there are several ways you can help:

1. There is a PayPal button on the side of our website. Please specify for Bangladesh orphanage.

2. Mail a check to Ting Ministries at 904 State Drive, Lebanon, PA 17042. In the memo, please write for Bangladesh orphanage.

Bangladesh Update: Pastor Sanga Sends Prayer Requests

Want to pray with our Ting Ministries partners, but don't know what to pray for? Pastor Sanga sent an update from Bangladesh with some prayer requests!
"Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ those who have received training and they may have faithfully involve in their respective fields. Pray for new believers so that they may have strong faith in the Lord's and make disciples in their neighbors and different villages where never preach the gospel and who are still living in the darkness. Pray for team unity, bond, strong, boldness, encouragement and in their responsibilities what we have assigned to them in their harvest fields."
Here is the latest update from Ting Ministries Bangladesh:
Pastor Sanga's co-workers visited a village near the border of Burma. It is a long distance away took three and half days to reach. There are 15 families in this village and there is often local unrest since the village is near the border. The villagers never heard the gospel and after sharing gospel seven people have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Savior. Praise the Lord! And at last they built a church and his co-workers trained them in discipleship. They promised "we will be teaching and sharing to our family members what we have learnt and heard from the training and they will surely join in our belief." Pastor Sanga asks for prayer for this village that they would grow in their faith!

Making Disciples: Update from Bangladesh

Dear friends - we have much tor rejoice about in Bangladesh! Thank you to those who have been praying for our TM family and missionaries. Pastor Sanga says:

"We had fellowship, follow-up, more teaching, sharing more on church and congregations leading, making discipleship, gave them encouragement. We knew that our teaching, training and seminar are not vain but it’s fruitful and effective. We had also women seminar on Christian family and women leadership in the ministry. The seminar went very well. They are very much pleased such kind of seminar for women."

Our TM missionaries also spent time with the youth, singing and worshiping and praying with the sick...

Pastor Sanga says: "After prayer she was healed in the name of Nazareth Jesus! Praise the Lord!"

This woman's stomach pains lessened after prayer! Imagine what a testimony of Christ and encouragement!

How encouraging to know we have new brothers and sisters in Christ, halfway across the world. Please continue to keep TM partners in your prayers - they face heavy persecution and risk, but this is why they continue! Please pray for their safety, particularly as heavy flooding has damaged many roads in Bangladesh this month. If you would like to help our TM pastors and missionaries continue their ministry, there are several ways to help!

1. We are raising funds for a motorbike. It costs about 2,404 dollars and will help our team get to villages more quickly and safely. Right now they are traversing the jungle and crossing rivers and the journeys take days. A motorbike is a practical need and one that will help spread the Gospel to even more lost souls!

2. There are some ongoing needs. We have 5 Pastor's families waiting for sponsors! Things like clothing outreaches are also made possible through your support.

This pastor and his family need a sponsor!

3. You can make a one-time donation by a) using the PayPal on our website. b) Send a check to Ting Ministries, 904 State Drive, Lebanon, PA 17042. Please specify what you would like the donation to be used for (100% goes to your specified program).

Though the needs may seem overwhelming, there are lots of ways you can get involved - even 5 dollars makes a difference! You can know that your gift will be of great encouragement! Please join us in praying for our TM family, as they are praying for us!

Help Provide a Motorbike for Bangladesh

A TM evangelist climbing with a pack of shoes for village children

Dear friends, thank you for your support of Ting Ministries and our families, pastors, missionaries, and children all around the world. We could not be doing this without your help.

One of our areas of work is with pastors and unreached tribal groups in Bangladesh. TM missionaries face heavy persecution, while risking their lives to travel through the jungles to reach remote villages. Yet they persevere because they are called to share the gospel. Right now, they are walking and climbing through the jungle; the journeys are arduous, taking several days and facing obstacles on the way. For the safety of the team and to make the trips faster, we would like to meet the need of a motorbike for TM Bangladesh. The motorbike will cost 2,404 USD.

Can we come together to help provide a motorbike? Pastor Sanga and his team thank you for your help. They are always so grateful - imagine how blessed they will be, knowing people across the world care about their protection and about sharing the love of Jesus!

If you would like to give towards the motorbike:
1) Use the PayPal button on the side of our website.
2. Write a check out to Ting Ministries, 904 State Drive, Lebanon, PA 17042.

Sponsors Needed for Bangladeshi Pastor Families!

Imagine you are pastor or evangelist in remote Bangladesh. You risk your life every day to share the love of Christ. When you go out in the morning, you know you may not return to your wife and children at home. To reach other villages, you must traverse through jungles and rivers. You face immense persecution but know the Lord has called you to this life of ministry.

Dear Friends - There are 5 Ting Ministries' families in Bangladesh that need sponsors to continue reaching villages, orphans, and tribal children with food, clothing, and the Gospel. It is their families' and Pastor Sanga's desire that they would be able to do this ministry full-time. Currently, these families are living on nothing. In order to carry on the ministry and care for their families, each pastor/evangelist needs a sponsor! This sponsorship will provide:

          • Living expenses for them and their families
          • Travel supplies
          • Housing
          • Salary
full sponsorship of 200 dollars per month will provide everything needed for the family's basic necessities. If you cannot commit to a full sponsorship but still want to help, please don't be discouraged! Partial sponsors of 100, 50, 20 dollars, or whatever you can give will help! A one-time donation of 2,400 dollars will provide for the families for whole year! Please consider how you can help these pastors and evangelists today. It may seem like a lot, but if you consider living on 200 dollars a month, it is not much at all...Can you give up eating out two times a month to help and encourage these families?

If you would like to be a monthly sponsor: Email tingministries@comcast.net with your name and mailing address. We will send a sponsorship form for you with a picture and information on the pastor or evangelist you would like to help!

If you would like to give a one-time donation: Please use the PayPal button at the side of our website. Or, make a check out to Ting Ministries and send it to 904 State Drive, Lebanon, PA 17042. Please specify for Bangladesh Family Sponsorship. Thank you
