Team Ting Tree Houses

"But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love." ~Psalm 52: 8

Several years ago, the Carpenter family heard of a little girl with Cerebral Palsy in China. Her name was Naomi. The Carpenters had intended to adopt Naomi. When they inquired about her information, they received word that this little girl had passed away, several years prior. While this little girl died without ever knowing the love of a family, the Carpenters decided they needed to do something, in honor of Naomi's precious life.

Unbeknownst to each other, both Sasha and Stephanie had the idea of a "Naomi's Tree," from Psalm 52: 8, about growing roots in different countries and thriving in the Love of the Lord. This is how the idea of "Naomi's Tree" was born.

From that time, the idea Naomi's Tree grew into something greater, beyond one little girl in China. As the Carpenters began to formulate plans to grow Naomi's Tree, they also began feeling led to establish a safe house in Ukraine for aging out orphans.

So, the idea for Team Ting Tree Houses was born.

In honor of Naomi, the Carpenters are "planting tree houses" in each of the countries they work in. These homes will provide children a safe, Christian environment, where they in turn will learn to carry on the work of James 1: 27 "...to go and visit the orphans and widows..."
